Big words.

Do you often find yourself stringing together big words to make it sound more professional?

Let’s look at an example:

♦️ "We harness the power of cutting-edge technology to drive innovation, efficiency, and transformation, ensuring our clients stay at the forefront of their industries." 🥱

Boring, as well as confusing.

Instead:

♦️ "We use modern technology to find new ideas, work better, and help our clients stay ahead in their fields." ☑️

How much easier was that to understand?

The point here is simple:

  1. Stop complicating your sentences. ✍🏼

  2. Would you use these words when speaking to someone in person? 🗣️

  3. Would you struggle to read or understand difficult sentences? 👨🏻‍🏫

The change is needed.

We need more simplicity in reading, not difficulty.

Even though you may be familiar with understanding and using the ‘professional’ words in sentences,

Others may not be.

It’s really that simple.

A simple message gives a clear understanding.

Should I stop using professional words?

No.

This doesn’t mean you completely stop using the ‘big words’.

Look at it more like this:

Use it if it’s needed. If you’re able to make it clearer to the reader, then change it.
